Description:

The turks of the Ottoman empire conquered the city of Constantinople after a 53 day siege from the Byzantine empire. It was then that the city was renamed Istanbul.
In Defenders, leader of the Hand Alexandra calls the city by its ancient name, most likely because she lived there when it was called Constantinople. It is unclear exactly how old she is.
