Description:
A schooner bound for Charles Town from Philadelphia was chased ashore on Bull's island Island by two British frigates. The British set a contingent of sailors and marines on board but they were taken prisoner by American troops. The schooner was abandond and set afire to prevent the British taking the schooner.Added to timeline:
