jan 19, 1781 - Hasty Point Plantation (John Postelle's)

Description:

Capt DePeyster's Loyalist seized Hasty Point Plantation, home of Patriot Capt John Postell's father. Capt Postell with his knowledge of the land and plantation house engaged the Loyalist after taking the remote kitchen. With threats of burning the house Capt DePeyster surrendered unconditionally.
