Loyalist Capt Phillip Martinangel, was one of the leader of the raid on Hilton Head Island that killed Charles Davant and ambushed Patriots at Two Oaks Plantation. Capt John Leacroft lead a parth of Whigs, known as the " Bloody Legion" to seek revenge. They found Martinangel sick in bed at his home and Israel Andrews shot and killed Martineangel.Added to timeline:
