Description:

When John Boyce escaped Bloody Bill Cunningham, he went to his militia commander, Capt Casey's home. Casey gathered his men and rode after the Loyalist catching 15 stragglers at Duncan's Creek, Casey took them to the intersection of Charles Town and Ninety Six roads and hung them from an oak tree as a warning to others.
