Description:
Patriots under Col Brown and others were camped in the Bear Swamp between Drowning Creek and Little Pee Dee River. Tories commanded by Capt Barfield attempted to sneak into the camp. Discovered by a sentinel, a skirmish followed forcing the Tories to retreat.Added to timeline:
