nov 18, 1781 - Capt John Towles Jr killed by "Ned" Turner

Description:

Patriot Capt John Towles Jr was home when "Bloody Bill" Cunningham's force approached his home. Ned Turner knew Towles and went to the house to kill him. Towles saw Turner approach and hid under the hay pile in the barn. Turner offered Mrs Towles protections so she sent her small son to get his father. When Towles emerged from the hay pile, Turner shot him infront of his son.
