Description:
Capt Anthony Hunt, HMS Sphynx spotted a Patriot brig St James with a prize heading for the Charles Town Bar. Sphynx fired two guns to recall her b boats from shore. Around 11 Am, the prize ran aground and was boarded by crew and marines from HMS Comet. They captured two Americans and three of the brig crew and set the prize on fire.Added to timeline:
