Description:
The British commander of Ninety-Six orderd Maj James Dunlap to seize "Negroes, cattle, and other property" in the Abbeville area that might be useful to the Patriots. Maj Dunlap burned Col Andrew Pickens home driving his family into the woods where one child died of smallpox. Dunlop also burned Lt Col James McCall's home assulting his wife and daughter.
