Description:

As Loyalist militia Capt John Crawford's force moved north in modern Edgefield county they murdered Patriot George Freeman and his two sons at the Pine Wood House and Tavern. Capt Crawford continued north from the murders to Whitehall Plantation to attack Andrew Pickens.
