nov 18, 1781 - Capt Caldwell Killed

Description:

After the massacre at Cloud's Creek, Cunningham went to Patriot Capt Caldwell home. Caldwell knew "Bloody Bill" Cunningham, didn't fear him so walked out of his house and was shot. His wife fainted and Cunningham burned the home to the ground leaving Mrs Caldwell sitting by her murdered husband.
