nov 18, 1781 - Stokley Towles Killed
Description:
As "Bloody Bill" Cunnignham's Loyalist passed Stokely Towles home, Towles hid in his barn. Ned Turner knew Towles and approached his wife advising he would offer protection from Cunningham's men. Mrs Towles sent her five year old son to get his father. When Towles emerged from the barn, Turner shot him infront of his son.
