Description:
Col Matthew Floyd, Loyalist form York County fortified a log building on King's Creek. Col John Moffit's Patriot militia surprissed the Loyalist at Floyd's Fort at daybreak. Trories outside fled and others fell out window fleeing the Patriots. Moffit's men killed three Loyalist officers and five other, badly wounding sixteen. When the Loyalist fled, they left all there supplies, powder, rifles, swords and other equipment which was taken by the Patriots.
