Description:
James Bradley, an older man was the founder of the Salem Black River Presbyterian Church. Lt Col Banastre Tarleton dressed as a Patriot officer convencing Bradley to guide him through the swamp to Camden. At Camden, Bradley was imprisoned for seven months and bore the marks of his shackle for the rest of his life. Bradley live to serve in the 2nd SC Provincial Congress and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd General Assemblies.
