Gen Sumter task Lt Col Henry "Light Horse" Lee to take Fort Dorchester. Lee met no resistance due to morale problems and a munity. When the British heard of Lee's approach, they abandonded the fort. Lee did capture 200 horses, 4 wagons of which three were empty but the four had much need powder and ball.Added to timeline:
