Description:

Winsler Driggers, a notorious villain was in the Savannah, GA jail sentenced to be hanged. He escaped from the jail moving to the Cheraw Settlement area forming a gang. After 13 months, he was captured by Capt. Pledger's militia and hanged near Muddy Creek on the Old River Road six miles below thePledger's Mill.
