Peter DeLancey was a prominent New York Tory was in Charles Town in 1771. DeLancey was in McCrady's Tavern, a gathering place for local Patriots believed he was arguing over politics. A duel occurred between Dr. John Haley, a Patriot and DeLancey with Delancey being killed. The exact location of the duel is unconfirmed but most likely location is McCrady's Tavern.
