Description:
Patriot Capt John Moffit's militia was travelling down Broad River from Floyd's Fort. Moffit received word of Tories at Harrison's house, a noted Tory. At the house, two women advised the Tories left earlier. As Moffit's men rode away, they were ambushed from a thicket. A fight ensued with Moffit's men killing some and forcing the Tories to flee.Added to timeline:
