Description:
James and William Calk were not part of a militia but observed the British in Calhoun County. The Calk's and three others were taken prisoner to be moved to Monock's Corner. James Calk was not disarmed because of his and his horse's apperance. The British Captain made fun of James Calk who drew his sword, striking the Captian in the head amd made his escape. The other four Patriots made their escape later that evening.
