apr 20, 1780 - Skirmish at Brickyard on Wando River (Cainhoy)
Description:
Patriot Capt. Adam Sanders, William Hargis with 50 others were sent to the Wando River to seize all boat they could find and transport them to Charles Town. About 50 militiamen reached Charles Town with boats but Hargis with the balance reached the old "Brickyard" on their return and had to abandon their boats to avoid capture by the British. They escaped into the woods on the east side of the river.Added to timeline:
