Description:

Patriot John Clark owned land on the Enoree River where he had Clark's Ford on Clark's Road. A fierce skirmish with Tories occurred at Clarks Ford. Clark had a leg wound but escaped to a bluff a mile away where his mother bandaged his wound. Tories followed his blood trail capturing him and taking him on a skinny horse 40 miles to Fort Ninety Six.
