John Parker was a staunch Whig. Loyalist under Capt Robins attempted to kill Parker at his home before the British departed Charles Town. Parker defended his home killing Capt Robins, driving off the Loyalist. Two day later, Loyalist again attempted to kill Parker but fled his back gate as Patriot Dragoons enter his front gate near the home.Added to timeline:
