Description:

Capt. Daniel Conyers with 16 men surprised and captured forty-six (46) British Regulars, a large number of horses, wagons filled with salt and other stores on the west side of the Santee River at Wantoot Plantation. They destroyed what could not be taken with them, then took their prisoners safely across the Pee Dee River.
