Farrows Station, a Spartan Regiment outpost was the fortified home of Landon Farrow on the Enoree River within sight of Musgrove's Mill. Patriot militia Lt Thomas Farrow and his men were surprised at the station by Loyalist at sundown. A battle ensued with Loyalist attempting unsuccessfully to burn the house and losing at least one Loyalist. About midnight the Loyalist agreed to leave it the Patriots would supply them arms and ammunition. Lt Farrow and the Loyalist got into an arguement on how to hand the pistol over, barrel or butt first. Lt Farrow's sister-in-law delivered the pistol and the Loyalist departed.
