jan 1, 1976 - FNP Land Rights
Description:
Cause: FNP Land Fund Act and the FNP
After a lot of protesting, the First nations
Peoples land fund act paid money
for the traditional owners of the land to finally get
the land rights they deserved.
Peoples Effected: FNP White Australians
The First nations Peoples were effected because their homes
had been taken away and they didn't get the land rights
for their original land that the British stole off them. After the land fund act,
they finally got some land bought for them. Sadly not everyone got land, so finally the government gave all of them rights to buy land.
Perspectives
FNP: The FNP were happy that they finally got rights for their land. They always got paid money, but all they wanted was their original land. After years of protesting, they were so happy to finally have land rights. The government didn't always agree, but he was happy to say yes.
