Rely on Tang's support, Sassanids barely got through the 7th century and recovered the Mesopotamian, but with the An Lushan Rebellion, Tang's power severely weakened and Tibetan Empire seized the Western Regions, both the financial support from Tang and the wealth from Silk Road were halted, which damaged Sassanids economy and caused a huge crisis.
