sep 3, 1939 - World War Two

Description:

World War Two was the result of Germany's invasion of Poland. For the first few years of the war, it was primarily limited to the Eastern continents. That is, until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, killing thousands of people. It did not take long for the United States to declare war against Japan and the Axis powers retaliated with their own declarations of war against the United States. The war continued for several more years before it would be won by the Allies, therefore defeating Germany and the other Axis powers. WWII is considered a dark stain on humanity's past due to the horrific actions of Germany against the Jews and the horrible number of casualties. This war truly demonstrated the effect of prolonged violence in every aspect of a person's life. People would lose family members to the draft, to bombs, U-boat attacks, or even the systemic eradication of Jews if they were particularly unlucky. WWII would also sour many people's opinions towards foreign countries and people.
