Jebel Faya is an archaeological site near Al-Madam, Sharjah Emirate, UAE. It is the world's most ancient settlement yet discovered of anatomically modern humans outside of Africa. Archaeologists found three different Paleolithic settlements which date from 125,000 years ago to 34,000 years ago. The site also includes remains of a tomb dating back to the Neolithic Period as well as a number of tombs which belong to the fourth and third millennium BC.
