Obviously Burton just cast little-known Australian actress Mia Wasikowska (HBO’s “In Treatment”) as the lead in his adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic, “Alice In Wonderland” project, but now unconfirmed reports from the U.K. are claiming Depp will play the role of the Mad Hatter (a picture that’s set for 3D too, btw).
