Queen Victoria records her personal experience of her Coronation in this extract from her journal of 28 June 1838.The handwriting in this journal is that of the Queen’s youngest daughter, Princess Beatrice, who on her mother’s instructions copied out the journal after the Queen’s death, destroying the originals.
