Johnny emerged about 6:30 a.m., after a full night of filming in the penthouse of an Art Deco apartment building on North Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee.

JD exchanged greetings and posed for pictures with a cluster of about 30 fans who had waited all night in the rain to see him.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that during a break during the filming at the Historical Society, Johnny "signed a pair of plaques for the Milwaukee Press Club." The
club displays famous signatures on its walls -part of its tradition.
