It involved British soldiers and Indian civilians. The British troops fired on a crowd of unarmed Indians killing several hundred people and wounding hundreds of more in Amristar. The reason this happened is because Brigadier General Reginald Dyer banned all meetings and gatherings, but the Indian citizens didn't know that he did.Added to timeline:
