King George lll was born on June 4 1738 to Fredrick Prince of Wales and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. Young George was educated by private tutors and by the age if 8 he could speak English,German and soon French. George was influenced the most by primary tutor Scottish nobleman John Stuart, Third Early of Bute. John Stuart helped George overcome his shyness and advised him on many personal and political matters. At 12 years old he was made the prince of Wales, and in 1760 he became king at age 22. But as he began his rein he also inherited a war against the French. In 1763 George Grenville became King George's new prime minister.
