三国同盟刺激，1892 法俄签订《法俄军事协定》并与1893、1894经法俄两国政府批准后生效，法俄同盟正是成立。
英国的光荣孤立政策，因英德矛盾日益尖锐，德国的扩张，让法国感到不安，
1904英法缔结协约；
1907英俄订立协约，
法俄同盟加上英法协约与英俄协约，构成了三国协约。
