jun 30, 1890 - Sherman Antitrust Act

Description:

This legislation forbid combinations and
consolidations of companies that restrained trade. Although not very effective in the long run, it was another signal from the federal government that they would act to curb corporate greed. Private greed must be subordinate to public need.
