dec 14, 1939 - USSR Expelled From League of Nations
Description:
The Soviet Union attack on Finland on November 30 was illegal and thus they were expelled from the League of Nations. Although the Soviet Union had already been invading other countries, their invasion of Finland, where there was nothing that could credibly justify the aggression, resulted in a worldwide reaction. President Roosevelt, although an “ally” of the USSR, condemned the invasion and the Soviet Union withdrew from the New York World's Fair before leaving the League of Nations.
