apr 16, 1917 - America Joins the War
Description:
With WWI starting America wanted to stay out of it, but it was hard for them to because they were in the trading for both sides. The other countries thought they would side with someone different in which they did but not until Wilson became president. Wilson went to Congress to declare war on Germany. His excuse to go to war was because Germany started unrestricted submarine warfare in the North Atlantic. Congress and the House accepted his request to enter war against Germany.
