feb 1, 1942 - Japanese internment camps opened
Description:
In 1942, FDR signed an Executive Order which ordered all Japanese into internment camps during WW2. This was done in fear that many of the Japanese would turn against the American public and help their mother country. Later on in 1988, the U.S would formally apologize granting $20,000 to the survivors left.
