Leon Battista Alberti, born in 1406, was an Italian architect that also specialised in many other fields. He designed two churches in Mantua: San Sebastiano and Sant'Andrea. These churches inspired many other architectural works that came after it.
Alberti also made minor contributions in fields such as art, writing, astronomy, and cartography, where he cooperated with figures such as Paolo Toscanelli.
