Description:

→ Austria wanted Serbia to reject the ultimatum, giving them firm justification for war. Serbia replied, rejecting the ultimatum, but in such a manner that they appeared to offer Austria most of what they wanted.
→ Austria was undeterred, breaking off diplomatic relations and then declaring war on Serbia on the 28th July 1914.
