Description:

The “Bringing Them Home” report is a tribute to the struggles of Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islander people who were affected by the force removal. Known as the stolen generation, aboriginal children were taken away from their homes and sent to orphanages and institutions where they were forced to rid them selves of their culture and kill off their race. Aboriginal parents were not allowed to fight for their children as they were stripped of their legal guardianship of their children, the governors of these families were the legal guardians for these aboriginal children who were taken away and fostered into white households where they were into provided with any recognition of their indigenous roots. This report is the tribute to those who were stolen.
