13h 48min, jun 3, 1936 y - Walther Wever Dies

Description:

Walther Wever was the Cheif of Staff of the Luftwaffe (German Air Force). He had fought in World War I and adopted a lot of his strategies from then--especially strategic bombing. However, when World War I ended, only the allies really kept this strategy and it was forgotten by many German officials. When Hitler's men were planning his air attacks, they only focused on using the air force as support for German panzers rather than a weapon in itself. If Wever had lived to help plan, it might have changed the course of the war: he would have suggested strategic bombing and he was also very good at building strategic air fleets. If he had lived until the start of the war, Hitler might have had a stronger air force and maybe wouldn't have lost the war.
