jan 1, 1975 - Mixed Orientation Marriage (M.O.M.) is a cure to Homosexuality [Part 34]
Description:
Card's definition of male homosexuality was "a conditioned avoidance of an adult female in a domestic setting.” According to Card, lesbianism is caused when "the husband or father has been covertly seductive, buying the girl slinky dresses and all sort of things and at the same time the girl cannot relate to the mother.”
As to "curing" homosexuality, he said that, "I'm afraid that the measure of success that I'm looking for is [heterosexual] marriage.”

*It should be noted that Dr. Robert Card was one of the key therapists behind the electroshock and vomit conversion therapy program at BYU. This practice was intended to rid men of homosexual thoughts and tendencies, with the end goal of converting their sexuality from gay to straight.
