Meeting of the 12 delegates of the 13 colonies who met September 5 through October 26, 1774, at Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the early American Revolution. This was called in retaliation tot eh Intolerable acts that were passed by the British Parliment.
