Together, the Cometian and Neobro militaries made up one of the most formidable forces ever seen, a thought that many pointed out as a crucial trait among allies; nations are always stronger when they work together. REWD was occupied already on one front in helping the New Amoro Federation with DRP-1, but they also had to participate with the Cometian cyberwarfare teams in the joint exercises.

At 5:10 PM, the Emperor arrived in Adisine to meet with the Grand Duchess of Cometia, and the Imperial troops who were taking part in the joint exercises arrived on Cometian soil as well. The two major powers combined their armies with their best trained and best supplied troops. The Imperial side brought refined versions of the equipment that was used during Operation Knightsman II, and the Cometians brought their plasma rifles. Trench warfare, open field battle, close quarters combat, and urban engagements were all covered in a massive show of force. The camaraderie shown between the soldiers was unlike anything ever seen, and even during the exercises, the Cometian soldiers displayed some strange distaste towards their Solvetnin counterparts. The soldiers, not sure what to think of it, took it with a grain of salt, and just continued with the joint exercises as normal. Even the Grand Duchess herself said that the Solvetnin system of joint government was a crappy model, and that the Grand Dukes of Solvetno imposed practices on the Cometians that made the civilian population angry, but that the Cometians did not impose any practices back. Looking at the Imperial government, the Grand Duchess said that its system was much more admirable and that its people would be much happier under a system like that. The Emperor was, arguably, extremely hyped about what the Grand Duchess was saying, but not willing to blow his cover, he continued with the meeting normally.

At around 11:50 PM, the Emperor had returned back to Citus, and the joint exercises were over. In the military’s eyes, the troops had gotten a lot done, and in the Emperor’s eyes, the intel shown from Operation Knightsman II about the Cometians was looking to be true. Early in the morning the next day, the Emperor addressed the nation about the events that had just transpired, as well as making public some recent information about a conversation that took place after his meeting with the Grand Duchess that nobody knew about.

“In a later conversation with the Grand Duchess, she had told me some rather odd information; that in pursuit of conquest and union with other nations, as well as while being in a state of union with other nations, there was a time when the Cometian nation had a desire to join the Empire. As that shot up our reputation within the nation, favorable views of our country have never been higher. The Grand Duchess went on to label the Neobro Empire as Cometia’s ‘brother nation.’ I am here to tell you now that we will formally and gladly accept this title with all of our hearts, and will return the favor by hereby labeling the Grand Duchy of Cometia as the Empire’s ‘sister nation.’”
