Description:

Sumedha Saṅkamana and the pilgrimage meet armed troops at the border between India and Bangladesh. Fearing that violence may break out, Sumedha Saṅkamana prostrates himself in front of the checkpoint, keeping his walking stick firmly grasped in his right hand. The pilgrims all follow suit. The troops, seeing the endless line of people laying facedown in the dirt, lay their arms down and join the pilgrims. The troops drop their gear, keeping only the clothes they are wearing, and shoes they are walking in.
