Description:

Huey Long did not believe that FDR was doing enough to end the depression. This resulted in Long calling for a redistribution of wealth that would have allowed no American to make over a million dollars a year by deducting any amount over the mark as taxes. From the deduction, every American family would be given $5,000 immediately, and $2000 annually. This never happened though, because Long was assassinated in 1935 by a Louisian political enemy.
