Description:

The Social Security was enacted in order to have workers over 65 have a retirement plan. At first this did not help agricultural and domestic workers. The act provided unemployment insurance for workers without a job which was paid through a payroll tax. The act proved to be very successful and is still round today. This helped strengthen bonds between the citizens and government.
