Description:
Members of the Third Estate were not happy with the. current system and were determined to create a constitution that gave equal rights to all men. This group declared themselves the National Assembly and said that they were the only group that represented the nation. It became an assembly not of the Estates but it was composed of "the people." The formation of the National Assembly inspired the people of Paris to storm the Bastille a couple days later.
