On December 15, 1791, three-fourths of the state legislatures had ratified the Bill of rights, therefore adopting it into the American Constitution.
1.) The Bill of Rights has had significant effects on the history and rights of American citizens. The first amendment to the Bill of Rights is widely considered to be the most significant, as it protects the freedom of religion, the freedom of speech and press, the right of assembly, and the right to petition.
2.) Without the freedoms outlined in the Bill of Rights, the entire Constitution would be in vain.
3.) These 5 basic rights are essential to "Life, Liberty [and] pursuit of Happiness" as written in the Declaration of Independence.
